George A. Ranney, Jr.

George A. Ranney, Jr. was chairman and CEO of Prairie Holdings Corporation and co-developer of Prairie Crossing with his wife, Vicky. He served as President and CEO of Metropolis Strategies, created by the Commercial Club of Chicago to improve the region’s economic competitiveness. George was a partner at Mayer Brown, one of Chicago’s largest international law firms, Vice President for Materials and Energy at Inland Steel Industries, and Deputy Budget Director for the State of Illinois. He has served on the boards of the MacArthur Foundation, the University of Chicago, and the Liberty Prairie Foundation.
